Diabetic recipe for Pita Bread Pizza

This easy Pita Bread Pizza recipes is great as an appetizer or a meal. Appetizer serves eight, Meal serves two.


2 pieces whole wheat pita bread
Non-stick cooking spray
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup of your favorite pizza toppings

How it's made:

Preheat oven to 400°. Lightly coat baking sheet or pizza tray with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange pita bread on baking sheet about 1/2 inch apart. Spread tomato sauce onto pita bread. Arrange your toppings on pita bread and cover with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut pita pizzas into desired number of slices (2, 4 or 6) and serve.
